The frame size stated on package is the actual working area of the scroll frame. The first number in the frame size is the distance between the dowels for your stitching area. The second number is the suggested maximum width of your project piece. The frame is adjustable and will accommodate projects with small widths. The total length of your project piece can be almost any size that can be rolled over the dowels, which still leaving some working area for your needlework.
